9 Days Flores - Rinca - Komodo Discovery (East -

DAY 01: DENPASAR - MAUMERE
Upon arrival at Waioti Airport of Maumere direct drive to Waiara Beach
12 Km to Eastern Maumere town (15 minutes drive) then check-in at
FLORES SAO RESORT for meals and accommodation. (L,D)
DAY 02: MAUMERE - MONI
 Breakfast
at hotel. Drive-up to Moni for 4 hours with several stops at Ledalero
- a major Catholic Seminary - to visit the museum with its various
collection of local royal families' old portraits, antique hand woven
clothes, stagedeon fossils, etc. Proceed to Sikka village - a center
of "Ikat" weaving to see the traditional weaving process
and an old church built in the 16th Century. Late lunch wiil be served
at Wolowaru. Continue to Moni, on arrival check into your hotel. (B,L,D)
DAY 03: MONI – KELIMUTU – BAJAWA
 After
an early morning breakfast at 5.30 drive up to Kelimutu volcano to
see the three colored lakes. Upon arrival walk for 1,5 km and then
ascend 127 steps to top to view Kelimutu's green, blue and black lakes.
A Dutch Geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914; at the time the lakes
were red, blue and white. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant
in Ende. Continue drive to Bajawa with stops in Boawae – a Nagekeo
tribe village on the slope of Mt. Ebulobo Volcano and Wogo traditional
village. On arrival in Bajawa direct check into your hotel for accommodation
and dinner. (B,L,D)
DAY 04: BAJAWA
 Breakfast
at hotel. Explore traditional village of Bajawa tribes. Visit Bena
- a megalithic village where people do preserve their ancestral spirits
believed and way of life which can be seen in their "Ngadhu"
and "Bhaga" - conical thatched roof huts symbolized their
Male and Female ancestral spirits. On the way you will stop on the
slope of Inerie active volcano for taking pictures. Drive back to
Bajawa for having lunch. Proceed to Mengeruda (Soa District) - a natural
hot spring water for taking bathing. Return to your hotel for accommodation
and dinner. (B L D ).
DAY 05: BAJAWA - RUTENG
 Breakfast
at hotel. Visit Boloji or Warusoba traditional village to attend dance
performance of Bajawanese followed by "Suling" - cluster
of Bamboo flute concert music. Continue overland to Ruteng - a cool
and small town as the capital city of Manggarai Regency where major
Manggarainese tribe dwelt. On arrival direct check into your hotel.
Afternoon visiting Rutengpuu - Manggarainese traditional village to
see their unique slander-shaped houses and be with local people. (B,L,D)
DAY 06: RUTENG - LABUANBAJO
Breakfast at hotel. Drive overland to Labuan Bajo - the Western tip
of Flores Island. On the way stops will be made at Lembor and Cancar
where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of rice fields with lush
and dry hills as the background, and other places according to local
happenings. On arrival direct check into your hotel for accommodation
and meals. (B,L,D)
DAY 07: LABUANBAJO – RINCA - KOMODO
 Breakfast
at hotel. Transfer to harbor and board on a wooden boat (a local NON
AC boat which has been modified to enable and suitable for carrying
tourist) then cruising to Rinca island passing several small island.
Upon arrival exploring the island to see the activities of the giant
Monitor Lizard "Komodo Dragon" which was scientifically
described in 1912 as VARANUS KOMODOENSIS, which is up to 3 meters
long and about 150 kg, weight. Lunch on boat, continue cruise to Komodo
island. Dinner and overnight on board. (B L D)
DAY 08: KOMODO - PINK BEACH - SAPE - BIMA
 After
breakfast walk for 1.5 miles to Banugulung to see the Komodo Dragon
and other animals such as : pig, deer, buffalow, etc. Lunch will be
served on boat. Afternoon swim or bathing at the crystal clear water
at Pink Beach-this is also considered as the best spot for under water
life and corals. Cruise to Sape and continue drive to Bima (1 hours)
and check-in your hotel for meals and accommodation. (B,L,D)
DAY 09: BIMA – OUT
Breakfast at hotel. Departure transfer for flight to Denpasar or Tambulaka.(
