Papua – West Irian

PAPUA  is the western half of New Guinea,a land of snow-topped mountains,swamps and dry savanna`s, and 75 % the land of Papua covered by tropical rain forest. The massive Maoke mountain chain runs through the centre of the land.
The Sentani small town on the shore of magnificent Sentani Lakes,Hamadi village offer the chance for water based activity and to hunt a  local craft and pottery or climb the hill to  see engrave stone monuments at megalithic site of Doyo Lama village.
From port of Biak take a small ride to visit and enjoy the clear water and white sandy beach at Bosnik or go for dive at Raja Empat a lagoon channel bordered by rainforest, rock island and off shore reef which is contain the richest marine biodiversity on earth.
Expedition  to the Central Highland to explore the Baliem Valley and the Dani people is also highly recommended.
