Fort Rotterdam ( Benteng UJung Pandang ) is a newly restored 17th century Dutch fortress where at that time the fort was an important centre of trade and the colonial government. Clara Bundt Orchid Garden is the place to see a great collection of rare Indonesian orchids and hybrids as well as sea shells, Bantimurung Waterfall - is famous as the habitat of around 150 species of rare butterflies.
Bantaeng and Bulukumba is the centre of traditional boatbuilding industry known as Phinisi boat.
