Kebun Raya Bogor And Puncak.
Bogor is a cool town midway between the capital and puncak, around 65 kilometers via the Bogor-Jakarta tollway. Bogor's main attraction is the Botanical Garden or "kebun raya Bogor". Laid out by Dutch botanist, Reinwardt in 1817, the garden covers some 80 hectares and boasts over 15,000 species of trees, 400 palm varieties and over 3000 types of orchid. Next to garden is the Presidential Place built in 1745 as the summer residence for the Dutch Governor General.
