5 Days/4 Nights - Bali - Ijen Crater Bromo-Baluran

 

Day 1 : DENPASAR- BLIMBING
After breakfast depart hotel for Cempaka Blimbing enroute visit to Mengwi,with a state temple of the Royal Mengwi Dynasty. Tanah Lot temple which was built by one of the last priests to come from Java Danghyang Nirartha a man who is remembered for his successful efforts in strengthening the religious beliefs of the people. Drive through a picturesque villages and Soka beach offer the most dramatic coastal scenery on the island. Afternoon arrive at Cempaka Blimbing for overnight .
                                                
Day 2 : BLIMBING - IJEN RESORT  ( B )
A morning departure from Cempaka Blimbing to Banyuwangi in East Java which is drive through Bunut Bolong whisks you along the island's scenic west coast a slice of the" real Bali “ few tourist see. On the way stop, surging surf beaches and the beautiful Bali National park during the tow and a half hours drive to Gilimanuk for the short ferry crossing to Java. Tour the quint town of Banyuwangi, and Bechak ( pedicab) ride visiting its friendly neighbor hoods, traditional market and Chinese temple. Following the tour. the minibus climb to the Ijen resort & villas. Your luxurious accommodation, perched at the edge of the rainforest in the foothills of the volcanoes. Overnight in mountain tranquility.

Day 3 : IJEN CRATER - BROMO  ( B )
Early wake-up call. After breakfast in a 4 WD vehicle to the slope of the mount Ijen passing through plantation and rain forest. This is one of the few left in the island of Java with the giant fern and the big trees. Pause at the park ranger's post before hiking further up to the slope of the crater. About 90 minute is needed to ascend the rim of the crater along the shady track with amazing views. Take a rest on the edge of the crater at 2883 meters altitude. The sulfuric lake reflects eerie color over the surrounding walls to give an apocalypse like impression. Men seeking the sulfur descend in to the crater climb back up along the dangerous rim with loads up to 80 kilos on their shoulders. The crater observation will take at leisure. Afterwards drive back to Bondowoso then on to Sukapuro village enroute. Over night at Grand Bromo hotel.

Day 4 : BROMO-BALURAN NATIONAL PARK ( B )
Early wake-up call, at 03 h.00 in the morning. Leave the hotel for mount Bromo by crossing caldera to the feet of Bromo volcano. and then by horse or simply by walk climbing up the track. The spectacular chain of the volcanoes (Bromo. Batok and Semeru ). I unveiling itself in a magnificent view. Bromo crater is one of the multitudes of active crater throughout Java. After the observation drive back to the hotel for breakfast and preparation for the departure to Baluran National Park a game preserve occupying about 25.000 hectares of open savannah and forest to the north of Banyuwangi known for a great variety of native animals and bird like : deer, wild pig,leopard ,wild ox,peacok etc. Overnight at PPA Guest House Baluran National Park (simple accommodation). If time permit so  before dark we can observe from the tower wild animals such as deer,banteng amble slowly away from the wells near the watchtower and driff across the savannah seeking solitude and shade.

DAY 5 : BALURAN NATIONAL PARK - BALI ( B )
Early in the morning while enjoying the sunrise proceed to watchtower to observe the wild animals again as previously.After breakfast walk on foot through savannah and bushes to observe the wild animals on the shade. Return to PPA Guest House for preparation for the departure to Bali.Drive through Ketapang Harbour and by ferry to Gilimanuk.  Late afternoon arrive in Bali.
